Assembly

We currently have openings in Assembly on 1st and 2nd shift in our Kiel facility.

  • Ensure functional and aesthetic quality of product
  • Work with hydro fittings and paint quality
  • Make subjective decisions, such as paint quality or the usefulness of a part of supply.  If decision is unclear, employee is able to contact line leader, QC or Supervisor to make disposition.
  • Be able to match sequentially numbered units with proper paperwork
  • Make adjustments as needed to determine by measurement
  • Be able to perform in-line process/QC checks.  Able to properly complete QC check sheets associated with product being built
  • Assist in the preparation of MI’s
  • Read and follow MI’s when assembling
  • Read and understand simple blue prints or diagrams
  • Must be able to remember and follow procedures (i.e. how to scrap, reject tags, MI changes)
  • Able to read different measuring devices
  • Lifting and bending
  • Meet daily production requirements as it pertains to standards established for product as instructed by supervisory staff
  • Perform basic computer functions
  • Employee is responsible to ensure their workstation does not run out of part.  Communicate with material operators to maintain inventory levels.
  • Prepare parts to be “returned to stock” as necessary
  • Employee responsible for following all departmental procedures
  • Record production correctly on production (claim) sheets
  • Record production accurately on build sheets
  • Correctly fill out “red tags” for defective parts
  • Correctly fill out scrap tickets for parts being scrapped
  • Use computer to print out barcodes for finished products
  • Have the ability to do assembly & build from station to station
  • Employees will be asked to perform work in areas other than the one they are assigned to al times.  They are to report to these areas as instructed and perform work in an acceptable manner.
