Capabilities
Amerequip's
integrated manufacturing capabilities focus on flexibility and finished
product quality.
Amerequip’s
vertically integrated manufacturing capability consists of three
manufacturing facilities which provide a wide range of manufacturing
processes to support the production of a large variety of finished
products. Amerequip's attachments are typically shipped directly
into our customers’ distribution system, reflecting confidence
in the quality of the products manufactured. (top)
Paint
and Final Assembly
Components and sub-assemblies manufactured by our supplying plants,
plus purchased components, are painted and assembled into a wide
range of finished goods.
Our
e-coat base and electrostatic top coat paint systems meet the highest
quality standards required by our customers.
Each
part receives several cleanings before a tough undercoating is applied
and then baked on. After the undercoating cools, each part is then
coated for a second time with an electrostatic top coat. The part
is then baked for a second time.
After
painting, all products are assembled on one of our seven assembly
lines, functionally tested and shipped. As many as 300 different
products can be assembled within this facility. (top)
Fabrication,
Laser, Machining and Welding
Amerequip fabricates and machines various piece parts for use in
weldments and assemblies. Processes include shearing, sawing, blanking,
and forming, bending, and machining. Amerequip manufactures hydraulic
cylinders and other machined components for use in finished products.
The machining facility consists of CNC turning equipment and vertical
machining centers.
Our
press capabilities, ranging from 15 to 500 tons, support the manufacture
of parts from the smallest clip to large parts utilizing dies up
to 64 inches x 26 inches. Secondary machining operations on fabricated
parts is provided by equipment such as our vertical machining center.
Vertical machining centers are used for drilling, milling and tapping.
Weldments range in size from one pound to 500 pounds. This includes
weldments for mower decks, backhoes, loaders and a range of other
products. Modular weld table fixturing
is utilized for lower volume weldments.
Welding
capabilities include robot welding of part sizes up to 72 inches.
The balance of our welding area consists of approximately 20 workstations
with wire-feed pulse welding equipment. This technology enables
a better quality product and improved environmental conditions.
Modular weld fixturing is utilized for lower volume weldments that
do not justify investment in dedicated weld fixtures.(top)
Hydraulic
Cylinder Manufacturing
Amerequip
manufactures hydraulic cylinders and other machined components for
use in finished products with equipment consisting of CNC turning
equipment and vertical machining centers. This CNC equipment has
downloading capabilities from the manufacturing engineering department.
Present capacity for the turning equipment ranges from 3-inch bar
stock to a 15-inch chucking capacity. The majority of this equipment
is used to manufacture hydraulic cylinder components, which requires
a high degree of accuracy. New vertical machining equipment has
provided additional capability and capacity. Hydraulic cylinders
are assembled and tested in a clean room, after which they are painted
at this facility prior to delivery to final assembly. (top)
Contract
Manufacturing
Taking
advantage of opportunities with a significant OEM account, Amerequip
added a Contract Manufacturing Service to its design and build offerings.
This resulted in building product designed by others, which included
60" and 72" mower decks along with smaller service decks.
Under
this arrangement, Amerequip has manufactured a variety of self-propelled
golf course mowers and commercial walk-behind product.
We
remain a strong design and build organization with emphasis on the
backhoe product. This is evidenced by our current product line,
which has been vigorously accepted by our current OEM accounts.
