We currently have an opening for a 1st shift Production Supervisor at our Kiel facility.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the assigned hourly production employees to ensure the production of high quality parts and products in a manner that leads to margin enhancement. Work as a team with other supervisors to fulfill staffing requirements.
- Plan production schedules (paint and assembly) by reviewing manufactured and purchased part availability. Schedules are constructed to meet 100% on-time delivery.
- Ensure training of new and current employees in processes and methods required to achieve company standards for safety, quality and efficiency. Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 quality standard.
- Ensure proper completion of all departmental and plant documents, including production sheets, timesheets, quality control inspection sheets, scrap tickets, red-tags, vacation request sheets, safety inspection forms, etc.
- Work in conjunction with Quality Control and Engineering to address quality-related issues during assembly.
- Work in conjunction with Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems and assist employees in solving problems.
- Attend and actively participate in all assigned meetings and committees.
- Able to effectively and professionally communicate to all subordinates, peers and superiors.
- Maintain departmental supplies, tools, equipment and order as necessary.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and one to two years related experience; or two years of college and three to five years of progressively responsible experience; or four years of high school and seven to ten years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
